We got to Ljubljana after a long day(s) of travel, checked into our AirBnB, and decided to stretch our legs and go for a short walk.
There is a woodsy hilly area behind our place, with a path meandering up the hill, so off we go.
We past this cool apiary. Too many bees about for a closeup though.
As we wandered up the path we were treated with great views of the city below.
Then we got to this cool castle at the top of the hill, with the best views.
I can see why they they put the castle here.
There we no soldiers guarding the entrance, just a bunch of strange puppets.
On the way back, there were plenty of helpful directional signs along the path, but in our jet-lagged state we must have wandered too far east.
So we stopped at the local Georgian restaurant for dinner,
Resumed walking on a lovely path, and there it was!
The way to Santiago de Compostela, and we know how to get back from there.
